Welcome to Orlando; the heart of Central Florida. Are you looking for "just the right place to live'? If so, Orlando, Florida has it all. With its distinct and diverse characteristics, Orlando is among the nation's most attractive regions for relocation. The entire region has so much to offer: year-round sunshine, a thriving economy and there's something for everyone.
Let's start with how Orlando's setting separates it from much of the rest of the country For example, Orlando is known as the City Beautiful and located in the Sunshine State. What more could anyone ask for?
Orlando sits approximately 150 miles south of the Florida / Georgia border; approximately 50 miles east of the Atlantic coast; 75 miles west of the Gulf coast and 237 miles north of Miami. Four primary counties comprise the Central Florida region; Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola. Polk, Volusia and Brevard counties along with Orange, Seminole, Lake and Osceola counties forms what is defined as Central Florida.
Orange County is the most populous and consists of approximately 900 square miles, eight cities, including the bustling big city downtown Orlando.
Seminole County is located just north of Orlando and consists of nearly 300 square miles. The county offers a small town atmosphere, yet there is still excellent metropolitan access. Seminole County includes a total of seven cities.
Lake County features 1200 acres of beautiful rolling hills. With bountiful lakes, the county is enjoying robust growth in population and industry throughout its 14 towns and cities.
Osceola County sprawling over 1400 square miles is to the southwest of Orange and Seminole counties. Today, Osceola County is being counted as one of the fastest growing areas around. Kissimmee and Saint Cloud are the only two cities currently located in Osceola County.
Add Polk, Volusia and Brevard counties to the mix with their note-worthy features and you are looking at not just a hot spot, but a warm and inviting area.
